Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer to influence technical strategy and drive execution across cloud orchestration, networking, and observability. You will own critical systems to reduce costs and scale in a cloud-first environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure secure, scalable infrastructure while shaping long-term roadmaps and driving engineering velocity.

Qualifications

• Experience contributing to cross-team efforts on cloud, compute, networking and storage infrastructure.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to drive alignment across an organization and contribute to long-term roadmaps.
• Demonstrated ability to make system-level tradeoffs.
• At least 10 years coding experience (Go, Java, or other language) and concurrent code experience.
• Experience designing distributed systems and using concurrency primitives.
• Hands-on cloud provider experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Contribute to system architecture and execution.
• Co-author roadmaps establishing the vision for infrastructure scalability, reliability, and engineering velocity.
• Maintain and foster a culture of engineering and operational excellence.
• Develop partnerships across engineering and product teams.
• Collaborate across teams to keep roadmaps aligned.
• Perform design reviews with a focus on infrastructure scalability and reliability.
• Partner with Security to build ‘secure by default’ systems.
• Engage with stakeholders and customers to understand requirements and enable business.
• Investigate how Temporal’s software powers infrastructure at scale.
• Understand Temporal's customer needs that drive infrastructure design decisions.
• Share design principles for reliable systems at scale.
• Learn and help others grow.
