Job summary

Fingerprint is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to drive the design, development, and evolution of scalable, secure cloud-based systems. You will own core infrastructure, collaborate with engineering, security, and DevOps, and shape reliability strategies for products at scale.

You will work across deployment pipelines, observability, and developer tooling, mentoring engineers and leading critical projects. This is a remote role with broad ownership and impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).
• Owned a product or subsystem end to end with responsibility for outcomes.
• Hands-on infra-as-code using Terraform or equivalent tooling.
• Production experience with Redis/ElastiCache, including clustering and failover.
• Strong written and verbal English for design docs and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own a core infrastructure subsystem end to end—from design to production.
• Define goals and success metrics aligned with company objectives and risks.
• Create technical designs from PRDs and requirements with iterative approaches.
• Build secure, high-performing, cost-efficient infrastructure for a broad range.
• Design, write, and ship developer-facing tooling to reduce toil.
• Manage infrastructure through code and configuration (Terraform).
• Partner with product engineering to architect services for scale.
• Participate in incident response and systematic debugging.
• Tune and evolve monitoring; propose stability and performance improvements.
• Approach work with a security lens and mentor engineers through code reviews.
• Drive cross-team collaboration and stakeholder discussions on tech topics.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
