Job summary

Fieldguide, a remote-first company, seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own critical infrastructure decisions, build scalable platforms, and drive reliability across engineering teams. You will shape architecture, implement IaC, and enable resilient systems in a security-focused environment.

Based in the US, you’ll collaborate with teams across locations, mentoring others and leading 24/7 availability efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and operating scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient with AWS services and IAM, networking, and security controls.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC to manage multi-environment setups.
• Strong monitoring/observability experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, and similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core platform infrastructure for scalable, reliable services across teams.
• Lead IaC initiatives and establish architectures for long‑term direction.
• Mentor engineers and foster reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Support incident response, postmortems, and disaster recovery planning.
