Job summary

Oracle Corporation is seeking a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer to join the OCI Infrastructure Planning and Capacity Management team in Nashville, onsite. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support capacity planning, infrastructure sourcing, and operational reporting.

The role emphasizes scalable, fault‑tolerant architectures, automation, IaC, security controls, and collaboration with engineering, operations, and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience delivering production services or applications.
• Strong programming ability in Java, Python, Go, C#, or a comparable modern language.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, or cloud-native applications.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, testing, debugging, and system design.
• Familiarity with source control, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for OCI planning and capacity management.
• Implement scalable, fault-tolerant components with redundancy and failover mechanisms.
• Build dashboards, telemetry, and alerting for production systems.
• Lead incident responses, RCAs, and runbooks.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure security, compliance, and documentation standards.
