Job summary

Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is building large-scale distributed infrastructure for the cloud with a focus on networking, isolation, and availability. The role is based near Nashville, TN, requiring full-time on-site work and a strong background in distributed systems and production code.

You will design and implement scalable services, collaborate across teams, mentor engineers, and shape architectural decisions to deliver high-performance cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years in software development with distributed systems experience.
• Experience writing production-grade code in Java, Go, or C#.
• Proven ability to deliver products across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with large-scale distributed services and operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and build large-scale distributed systems for OCI region builds and network orchestration.
• Drive development of services and frameworks to simplify complex networking at scale.
• Collaborate across teams to design unified, automated, observable systems.
• Lead technical direction, mentor engineers, and participate in design reviews focusing on simplicity and resilience.
• Improve service reliability, latency, and automation through tooling and monitoring.
• Partner with leadership to influence architectural strategy and OCI roadmaps.
• Foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the team.
