Job summary

Oracle Corporation is seeking a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Planning and Capacity Management team in Nashville, TN. This onsite role focuses on building scalable, resilient backend services and automating infrastructure planning workflows.

You will design, develop, and maintain APIs and automation solutions, contribute to reliability, and drive capacity planning initiatives across engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and maintaining backend services and APIs.
• Strong focus on scalability, resiliency, and operability of distributed systems.
• Proven ability to implement automation and IaC for operational reliability.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and optimizes components in distributed systems with an emphasis on scalability and operability.
• Delivers features and tests; builds fault-tolerant paths and automatic failover.
• Implements monitoring, runbooks, alarms, and incident response processes.
• Develops automation/IaC and enforces security controls across systems.
• Collaborates with teams to ensure change management, compliance, and documentation standards.
