Job summary

Taxbit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure within its Systems, Security & Compliance group. You will own AWS-based infrastructure, drive architecture and automation, and shape AI Ops strategies for deployment, monitoring, and secure operation at scale.

You will collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams, build CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and guardrails to raise reliability and developer velocity across Taxbit's platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Extensive hands-on AWS infrastructure experience.
• Strong Python or TypeScript coding skills.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, andInfrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience designing backup, data architecture, and DR for cloud systems.
• Experience logging, monitoring, and security guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Own IaC with CDK or Terraform to ensure consistency across environments.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for reliable deployments.
• Define backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems.
• Architect scalable data storage and processing patterns.
• Establish centralized logging, monitoring, and observability.
• Implement security guardrails in the development lifecycle.
• Automate workflows to reduce manual toil in provisioning and operations.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed systems and perform root-cause analysis.
• Integrate AI Ops/DevOps practices for AI-enabled pipelines.
