Job summary

Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure team in Seattle is seeking engineers to design and develop major components of the distributed database and cloud services platform. You will contribute to the centralized database store for Oracle Public Cloud and work across systems to deliver high-availability services.

This role emphasizes hands-on software design, debugging, and collaboration with teams to build scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering large scale distributed systems or cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Java with scripting languages such as Python, Perl.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OS, distributed systems and cloud fundamentals.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL storage and distributed persistence in cloud environments.
• Terraform and/or Ansible preferred.
