Job summary

Sonos seeks a Senior Infrastructure Architect to design cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, producing reusable blueprints and scalable IaC across the organization. You’ll partner with Product Software, Product Hardware, Security, and IT to align architecture with business needs and establish standard approaches.

You will mentor the Global Operations team, define SOPs, and drive automation with Terraform, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and related tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on with data center, cloud, web, and data services tech.
• Experience in DevOps or software engineering with AWS and IaC tools.
• Proficient in Terraform, Puppet, Ansible; container tech incl. Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong communicator; able to explain concepts to varied audiences.
• Willing to work in-office at least 3 days/week in Boston/Seattle.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of cloud and on-prem infra, forming standard blueprints.
• Define and drive IaC strategy and tooling standards across teams.
• Partner with Network Engineering to align designs with standards.
• Define SOPs for software/hardware installs and service transitions.
• Automate release processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Mentor Global Operations in incident, change, and release management.
