Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) seeks an Infrastructure Solution Architect for the Federal Civilian Division to design and deploy hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will leverage VMware expertise to support a large, global cloud and data center program for the U.S.

Department of State, with emphasis on governance, automation, and platform services. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of cloud experience, Top Secret clearance eligibility, and certifications such as VCP-VCF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
• 8+ years relevant experience supporting enterprise IT systems, cloud services engineering, or hybrid cloud environments.
• VCP-VCF Architect or other cloud provider certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and configure local, hybrid, IaaS, PaaS, and virtual networks across cloud platforms.
• Use IaC tools (ARM/Bicep, Terraform) to automate deployments in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Develop governance, tagging, RBAC, policy enforcement, and cost controls.
• Support Platform Services including Converged/ Cloud Infrastructure, Data Protection, Monitoring, and Security Infrastructure.
• Design DR strategies and COOP exercises.
