GDIT seeks an Infrastructure Solution Architect to support a large-scale, global Cloud and Data Center Services program for the U.S. Department of State.

You will design and deploy infrastructure services across a hybrid enterprise, emphasizing VMware, IaC, and governance to meet mission objectives. Responsibilities include 24/7 cloud operations coordination, monitoring design, and leading cloud migrations while maintaining security, compliance, and cost controls.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
• 8+ years relevant experience supporting enterprise IT systems, cloud services engineering, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Certification: VCP-VCF Architect, other pertinent cloud provider certifications.
• Hands-on expertise with VMware products (vSphere, ESXi, VMware Aria Operations, etc), IaaS/PaaS, virtual networks, automation, scripting (PowerShell, Python).

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy, and configure local, hybrid, IaaS, PaaS, virtual networks, etc., including cloud-based AI solutions.
• Leverage IaC using ARM/Bicep, Terraform, or similar tools to standardize deployments in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Develop strategy for governance configuration, tagging, RBAC, policy enforcement, cost controls, and operational standards.
• Design Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and COOP plans; ensure uptime and reliability of cloud resources.
• Lead cloud migrations, optimize resource workloads, and ensure security best practices across environments.
