Job summary

Komodo Health seeks a senior infrastructure leader to define the architecture and modernization of cloud infrastructure and shared services. You will drive AI‑assisted patterns, own AWS/Kubernetes IaC, and collaborate with Security, IT, and Data teams to meet evolving healthcare data requirements.

You will mentor engineers, enforce strict security practices, and help shape reliability, scalability, and cost strategies in a fast‑growing environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering with hands‑on AWS production experience.
• Proficiency using Terraform as a default IaC tool.
• Kubernetes platform ownership and operation experience.
• Ability to take ownership of ambiguous, inherited systems and improve them.
• Fluency with AI‑assisted engineering tools and safe application practices.
• Security and compliance fluency in a regulated environment (HIPAA/SOC2).
• Staff‑level collaboration, influence, and enablement across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, operating model, and modernization roadmap for cloud infra and shared services.
• Design, build, and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure as code (Terraform) via GitOps (ArgoCD) and CI/CD.
• Set standards for AI‑assisted infrastructure work and mentor the team.
• Harden security posture with least‑privilege IAM/RBAC and strong secrets hygiene.
• Drive reliability, scalability, and cost optimization through formal decision frameworks.
• Raise technical capability across the team via design reviews and documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, incident response, and runbooks.
