Job summary

Grayson Search Partners seeks a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments for a SaaS business and internal operations.

You will guide automation initiatives, drive reliability, and collaborate with software engineering and application support to deliver highly available services. This role requires deep expertise and proactive improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience in systems, cloud, or infrastructure engineering roles.
• Proven experience managing public cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with VMware technologies and third-party colocation facilities.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts (firewalls, VPN, routing, switching).
• Background supporting infrastructure for SaaS organizations.
• Experience designing and maintaining resilient architectures with backup and high availability.
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation practices.
• Strong problem-solving and incident resolution capabilities.
• Excellent written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions across cloud and datacenter environments.
• Oversee administration of Windows and Linux-based systems.
• Manage enterprise networking, including firewalls and VPN connectivity.
• Support and maintain AD and Entra ID identity platforms.
• Develop and implement backup, DR, and business continuity processes.
• Configure and optimize virtualized and cloud-hosted environments.
• Build automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Respond to incidents and conduct root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with software engineering to deliver highly available services.
• Produce and maintain technical runbooks and documentation.
