Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure across AWS and on-prem environments. The role emphasizes administration, maintenance, monitoring, automation, and modernization of Splunk-based observability, logging, and security analytics platforms in a federal-oriented, remote work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s with 12 years (or commensurate experience).
• Bilingual and hands-on with enterprise Splunk environments.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Linux/Unix administration in enterprise settings.
• Infrastructure automation/configuration management with Ansible.
• Data ingestion, log forwarding and monitoring processes.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer enterprise cloud infra, primarily AWS.
• Maintain hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructure.
• Manage Splunk platforms and data ingestion pipelines.
• Implement and operate observability, logging and monitoring.
• Collaborate across teams using Jira in a shared-services model.
• Participate in cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Contribute to runbooks, SOPs and technical documentation.
