Job summary

PlanIT Group in Reston, VA is seeking an experienced Splunk Subject Matter Expert to design, deploy, and maintain large-scale Splunk environments across on-prem Unix/Linux and cloud platforms. You will support enterprise monitoring, alerting, and reporting for a US Government client in a hybrid on-site with remote flexibility environment.

The role requires deep Splunk architecture knowledge, hands-on implementation, and collaboration with DevOps, Security, and IT teams to ensure data integrity,

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of relevant experience in Splunk and related IT domains.
• Experience with large-scale Splunk deployments, on-prem and cloud.
• Ability to design, deploy, configure, and operate Splunk environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and cloud Splunk environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and IT teams to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Manage dashboards, alerts, and reports; optimize performance and reliability.
• Mentor junior researchers or team members and translate insights into practical solutions.
