Job summary

Baer is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a 9-month federal project in Woodlawn, MD. The role requires hybrid work with local presence in Woodlawn, MD.

You will design, deploy, and operate scalable multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, focusing on Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD, and observability. The candidate will build secure, resilient production systems, implement GitOps workflows, and ensure monitoring and AI telemetry readiness with LangSmith/LangFuse.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience designing and operating production infrastructure.
• Hands-on with AWS EKS and Azure AKS including design, scaling, networking, security.
• Proficient with AWS services: ECR, RDS, Secrets Manager, IAM, EC2, CloudTrail.
• Proficient with Azure services: APIM, Azure OpenAI/Foundry pipelines, Monitor, Entra ID, VMs.
• Strong multi-cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and CI/CD troubleshooting.
• IaC with CloudFormation and CDK (TypeScript/Python).
• CI/CD tooling: ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitOps.
• Experience with Nexus and container security scanning.
• Bachelor’s degree verified.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, scale, and manage production Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS and Azure AKS.
• Build secure, highly available multi-cloud architectures with networking, IAM, storage, and compute.
• Develop reusable IaC modules using CloudFormation and CDK (TypeScript/Python).
• Implement CI/CD and GitOps workflows with Jenkins, ArgoCD, Helm, Docker, Nexus.
• Configure and maintain observability with Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
• Deploy LangSmith or LangFuse on Kubernetes for AI tracing and telemetry.
• Troubleshoot complex infra, deployment, networking, performance, and reliability issues while maintaining security.
