Job summary

Collective is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own the platform supporting AWS and GCP workloads. You will drive infrastructure as code, security, and reliability at scale, collaborating with product engineering and security teams.

In this role, you’ll lead disaster recovery planning, internal tooling, and the observability stack while mentoring other engineers and improving CI/CD pipelines. Hybrid work in SF with strong compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Infra/DevOps/SRE.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous, fast-changing environments and ship to production.
• Proficient multi-cloud operations (AWS preferred; GCP a plus).
• Experience implementing infrastructure and security policy as code.
• Strong Python or other high-level language development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team alignment.

Responsibilities

• Use IaC (Terraform) to provision and manage AWS and GCP resources; other SaaS vendors.
• Embed zero-trust security principles into infrastructure.
• Build scalable, reliable, and cost-effective systems as the platform grows.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
• Own CI/CD standards, reliability, and team mentoring.
• Automate to reduce toil and leverage AI where safe.
• Collaborate with product engineering to translate needs into scalable infra.
