Job summary

Collective is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own the infrastructure that powers our platform, focusing on IaC, CI/CD, security, and observability.

You'll partner with product engineering to design scalable, cost-effective systems on AWS and GCP, mentor teams, participate in on-call rotations, and continuously improve reliability while embracing AI-assisted tooling where it adds value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Infra/DevOps/SRE operating production cloud at scale.
• Able to work in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Proficient in AWS; GCP is a plus.
• Experience infrastructure and security policy as code.
• Strong Python or other high-level language skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team alignment.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading infra initiatives.
• Ability to write clean automation code.

Responsibilities

• Use IaC with Terraform to provision, deploy, and manage cloud resources on AWS and GCP.
• Embed security best practices by enforcing least privilege and identity-based access.
• Build scalable, reliable, and cost-effective systems for growing needs.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
• Own the CI/CD system; set standards and mentor teams on best practices.
• Reduce operational toil through automation and AI tooling.
• Collaborate with product engineering to translate app needs into scalable infra.
• Own the observability stack and remediate performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in on-call rotation for outages and incident response.
• Stay current with emerging Cloud Infra, DevOps, and Platform Engineering practices.
