Job summary

UJET seeks an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and evolve our GCP-based cloud-native SaaS platform. You will lead production-grade Kubernetes infrastructure, Terraform automation, and secure networking strategies across multi-region environments.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in cloud infra with strong GKE, Terraform, and network engineering skills, and a track record of reducing risk while improving reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on production experience in cloud infra.
• Deep knowledge of GCP networking: VPCs, subnets, firewall, NAT, DNS, load balancing.
• 3+ years operating production Kubernetes clusters (GKE).
• Experience Terraform, IaC, automated provisioning workflows.
• Kubectl, Helm, and monitoring tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain production infra on GCP (GKE, VPC networking, load balancers).
• Own Kubernetes clusters lifecycle: provisioning, upgrades, autoscaling, networking.
• Develop Terraform modules and IaC workflows for consistent infra.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, Linux, DNS, and cloud service issues.
• Design and maintain GCP networking infrastructure (VPCs, NAT, firewall, routing).
• Build observability with Prometheus, logging, metrics, alerts.
• Enforce security controls: IAM, service accounts, secrets.
• Drive reliability, scalability, cost optimization.
• Plan major upgrades and migrations with minimal risk.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, SRE, Security; provide mentorship.
• Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions.
