Job summary

Astreya is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own RCA, deploy Terraform-based IaC modules, and support DR testing across AWS and Azure. You will drive reliability, security best practices, and cost optimization while mentoring junior staff.

You will relocate as needed (India for 3 months, then Ireland for 9 months) and collaborate with application and platform teams to design scalable solutions and efficient migrations.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps or site reliability roles.
• Working experience with AWS and Azure.
• Terraform IaC experience is required.
• Python, Go, or similar scripting for automation.
• Solid networking fundamentals and cloud security principles.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools.
• Experience leading RCA and incident response for production systems.
• Strong written communication and runbook development.
• Willingness to relocate internationally (India 3 months, Ireland 9 months).

Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause analysis for P1/P2 incidents on assigned cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code modules (Terraform) and CI/CD components.
• Own disaster recovery testing and backup validation for assigned systems.
• Support reliability with advanced monitoring, alert response, and on-call rotation.
• Drive incident response and post-incident reviews with evidence generation.
• Apply cloud security best practices in partnership with security teams.
• Lead evaluation and proof-of-concept testing of new tools and services.
• Assist migrations, onboarding, and scaling, taking an active design role.
• Drive FinOps cost optimization for owned components.
• Mentor Cloud Infrastructure Engineer I/II on IaC and runbooks.
• Maintain runbooks and audit-ready documentation for GxP workloads.
• Ensure adherence to architectures, security baselines, and tagging conventions.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and elevate design concerns.
