Job summary

Astreya Partners, LLC is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to manage AWS cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure platform reliability in a hybrid Oakland setting. You will work with EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, and API Gateway, building pipelines with Terraform and GitHub while enhancing security, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.

This role demands 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong scripting skills, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, IAM, S3, and RDS.
• Experience with Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud security, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Manage and optimize AWS services (EKS, ECS, Lambda, IAM, S3, API Gateway).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate operational processes.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support.
• Drive vulnerability remediation, security compliance, and platform upgrades.
• Improve observability, disaster recovery readiness, and operational resilience.
• Partner with development teams to streamline deployments and improve productivity.
• Support AWS cost optimization and cloud governance initiatives.
