Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science or related field
7+ years of software engineering experience
3–5 years of strong Java development experience
Experience with geospatial data processing and PostgreSQL/ PostGIS
3+ years of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
Experience with automated deployment pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Nexus)
Willingness to learn current and emerging technologies and work in a hybrid schedule

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team to design, build, and maintain scalable backend software solutions
Develop and optimize big data pipelines to process massive geospatial datasets
Design and deploy AWS cloud-native backend services and capabilities
Evaluate and integrate new technologies as requirements evolve
Investigate and resolve operational issues to maintain system health
Participate in design, code reviews to uphold engineering standards
Ensure high performance, reliability, and resiliency across services
