Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to architect, design, and implement cloud solutions for mission customers. The role focuses on scalable infrastructure, mentorship of junior engineers, and cross-team collaboration to ensure mission delivery.

Responsibilities include designing secure cloud architectures, automating deployments, and enforcing governance policies while staying current with cloud technologies and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is required.
• 10+ years in Cloud Solution Architect/Senior Cloud Engineer roles.
• Experience building AWS cloud infra at scale across multiple classification domains (IL5–IL6+).
• Hands-on AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EBS).
• Experience with Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible for IaC.
• Knowledge of microservices, serverless, and containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficient in Python and Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud-based architectures.
• Mentor junior cloud engineers and guide cross-functional teams.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud environments.
• Develop cloud governance to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Translate requirements into actionable, technical solutions.
