Job summary

NS2 Mission in Reston, VA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-enabled data integration solutions for Intelligence Community customers. You will serve as a senior technical contributor, collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to translate mission needs into scalable AWS-based architectures and automated ETL workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, cloud engineering, or related programs.
• Experience designing and supporting AWS cloud environments (EC2, S3, VPC).
• Experience supporting ETL/data integration workflows (bulk and streaming).
• Experience leading technical interfaces with customers or partners.
• Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with Federal Government/Intelligence Community customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain AWS environments using EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda and related services.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and partners to develop scalable technical solutions.
• Support and optimize ETL processes for bulk and streaming data workflows.
• Configure and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure for mission operations.
• Lead technical discussions during customer engagements and guide implementation approaches.
• Create and maintain system architecture diagrams, docs, and procedures.
• Communicate project status to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies aligned with program goals.
• Research new technologies to improve performance, security, and operations.
• Support field deployments and travel as required.
