Job summary

NS2 Mission in the Northern Virginia area is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to design, develop, and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures that support mission-critical applications and enterprise services.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, modernize deployments, automate processes, and evaluate emerging cloud technologies, with TS/SCI clearance required.

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience designing and implementing cloud-based architectures.
• 5+ years building compute architectures in secure cloud environments.
• 3+ years scripting with Python, Ruby, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and deployment in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures supporting mission applications.
• Architect, develop, and deploy applications within secure commercial cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and leadership to develop cloud-native solutions.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions to streamline cloud deployments and operational processes.
• Leverage enterprise cloud services to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Utilize source control, knowledge management, and collaboration tools to support best practices.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend architectural improvements.
• Support technical planning, system modernization, and cloud migration initiatives.
