Job summary

Aikido is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to own and operate the cloud infrastructure behind our U.S. public sector cloud.

You will manage AWS GovCloud, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance for a regulated environment. You’ll work on Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure, handle deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting, and collaborate with leadership to align environments with government constraints.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and FedRAMP requirements.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to the FedRAMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure in support of the FedRAMP environment.
• Maintain and improve Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure for reliability, performance, and security.
• Handle day-to-day cloud operations: deployments, updates, configuration changes, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support last-mile implementation work to adapt and maintain a regulated version of the platform.
• Partner with leadership and cloud architecture to align environments with government constraints.
• Respond to infrastructure and customer support needs in the U.S. regulated environment.
• Help ensure operational readiness, resilience, and compliance as the federal footprint scales.
