Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to architect, design, and implement cloud solutions for government missions. You will guide junior engineers, drive scalable infrastructure, and ensure secure, compliant deployment across cross‑functional teams.

This role is five days onsite in Reston, VA, with hands‑on AWS expertise, IaC, and automation focus to accelerate mission delivery and governance compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT, systems or infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building and supporting AWS cloud infra in classified gov environments.
• Hands-on with AWS services: EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures for missions.
• Mentor cloud engineers and review technical work for complex challenges.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Develop operating instructions and end-user training materials.
• Lead automation of deployment, monitoring, and management processes.
• Establish cloud governance aligned with standards and RMF requirements.
• Act as SME for cloud engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to risk management assessments and architecture work.
