Job summary

KPMG LLP's Advisory practice is seeking a Sr. Associate, Cloud - GCP to lead design and implementation of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, with Terraform, and to enable secure, scalable hybrid cloud integrations between on‑premises environments and GCP.

You will work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI, and CI/CD tools to deliver analytics platforms, enforce IAM/RBAC security, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining cost awareness and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Three years of GCP or equivalent cloud systems development experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Experience designing cloud architectures and production infrastructures in GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Basic software development skills; Unix/Linux scripting; familiarity with Git/SVN.
• Strong networking, identity management, monitoring, and security concepts; IAM/RBAC expertise.
• Willing to travel as required; authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of GCP infrastructure using Terraform with modular, maintainable patterns.
• Architect and manage secure hybrid cloud integrations between on‑prem and GCP.
• Build scalable data platforms on GCP using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• Enable Generative AI initiatives with Vertex AI for model development and deployment.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and cost optimization; enforce security controls and IAM/RBAC.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers; contribute to engineering excellence.
