Job summary

KPMG Advisory is seeking a Sr. Associate, Cloud - GCP in New York to lead design and implementation of GCP infrastructure, focusing on secure, scalable, hybrid cloud architectures.

You will enable data analytics and Generative AI initiatives with Vertex AI, while upholding best practices in IAM/RBAC and CI/CD pipelines. The role requires strong cloud engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of GCP or equivalent cloud development experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Experience designing cloud architectures and production infra using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Scripting skills; Unix/Linux proficiency; source control (Git, SVN); ability to communicate technical concepts.
• Strong networking, identity management, monitoring, logging, and security concepts; high availability.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of GCP infra using Terraform with modular, maintainable patterns.
• Demonstrate expertise in GCP networking and NCC hub‑and‑spoke architectures.
• Architect and manage secure hybrid cloud integrations between on‑prem and GCP.
• Design and support scalable data platforms on GCP using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub.
• Support Vertex AI for model development, training, and deployment.
• Implement security controls and IAM/RBAC, aligning with regulatory standards.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for GCP resources using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and tooling to ensure reliability and cost optimization.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
