Job summary

KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate, Cloud - GCP for its Advisory practice in the US. The role focuses on designing and implementing GCP infrastructure, securing hybrid cloud environments, and building scalable data platforms with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.

You will enable Generative AI with Vertex AI and lead security and CI/CD efforts across projects. Applicants should have 3+ years of GCP experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong IaC skills (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GCP or equivalent cloud systems development experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Experience in designing cloud architectures and production infrastructures with GCP, IaC, and data/analytics platforms.
• Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Proficient in Unix/Linux, scripting, and source control (Git/SVN) and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong networking, identity management, monitoring, logging, security concepts, and experience hardening infrastructures.
• Willingness to travel as required and authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure using Terraform, following best practices for modularity, reusability, and long-term maintainability.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in GCP networking, including network design standards and Network Connectivity Center (NCC) hub-and-spoke architectures.
• Architect and manage secure, reliable hybrid cloud integrations between on-premises environments and GCP, enabling seamless connectivity across platforms.
• Design, build, and support scalable data platforms on GCP, leveraging services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub to enable advanced analytics and data processing.
• Enable Generative AI initiatives by supporting development teams in the use of GCP AI/ML services, with a strong focus on Vertex AI for model development, training, and deployment.
• Implement and maintain robust security controls and compliance policies across the GCP environment, with a strong understanding of IAM/RBAC and industry regulatory standards.
• Design and build automated CI/CD pipelines for provisioning and managing GCP resources using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and operational tooling to ensure platform reliability, performance, and proactive cost optimization.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, engineering excellence, and operational rigor.
