Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Cloud Software Engineer – Efficiency Engineering in the United States. You will architect and operate distributed, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure powering a scalable data platform, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization at scale.

In this role you’ll lead large technical initiatives, collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders, and build tooling that provides visibility into cloud costs and resource

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Strong programming experience in Go, C/C++, Java or similar OO language.
• Hands-on cloud experience across AWS/Azure/GCP with infra-as-code.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tooling is preferred.
• Knowledge of security, cost optimization, and multi-region architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, deploy, and maintain robust distributed infrastructure for a cloud-native data platform.
• Lead optimization initiatives spanning compute, storage, networking, and efficiency.
• Design services and practices to improve reliability, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-performance, cost-aware SaaS solutions.
• Develop tooling to visualize cloud costs and resource utilization across multi-cloud environments.
