Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support SOF AT&L programs at MacDill AFB, FL. This full-time role involves leading cloud, DevSecOps, and software integration efforts across multi-cloud environments to meet mission requirements and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of technical engineering experience, DoD exposure, and RMF familiarity, with strong Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering).
• Master's Degree in any technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert-level engineering leadership for cloud, DevSecOps, and enterprise software integration for SOF modernization.
• Reviews engineering change proposals, evaluates DoDAF artifacts, analyzes cloud architectures, and assesses multi-cloud operations.
• Applies RMF knowledge to ensure security and accreditation of enterprise solutions.
• Advises on Kubernetes orchestration, cloud-native architectures, and cloud platform selections based on mission needs.
