Job summary

Qrypt seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to own the infrastructure and services behind our cloud and entropy-as-a-service offering. You will build and run our AWS environment with Terraform, develop cloud services that deliver quantum entropy and keys, and lead deployment into customers’ environments.

This hands-on senior role spans infrastructure and application: own how the cloud is built, deployed, and monitored, while improving reliability, security and cost as we scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• 6+ years in cloud/platform engineering with production AWS.
• Strong AWS experience and Terraform (IaC) expertise.
• Backend cloud services development in Rust/C++/Go/Python.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tooling.
• Experience deploying to varied environments (containers/Kubernetes).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not offered.
• Experience with cryptography, security, key management, or networking.
• Cloud security/compliance experience (SOC 2, FIPS 140-3).

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Design and build cloud services in Rust and other languages.
• Deploy cloud interface into customer environments.
• Stand up monitoring, alerting, observability.
• Improve reliability, security, and cost as the platform scales.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to plan cloud roadmap.
• Contribute to on-call and operational readiness.
