Job summary

Crosswalk Health is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to own the AWS environment and infrastructure as code. You’ll build the system from the ground up in a lean team, shaping how AI is used responsibly in healthcare and making real technical calls on architecture.

You’ll work with senior engineers to ensure production-ready infrastructure, strong security, and scalable solutions, while contributing to a remote-first culture that prioritizes impactful care delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior cloud experience with 4–8 years in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on AWS administration is a must.
• Strong IaC skills to define and maintain infrastructure through code.
• Comfort with AI as a core part of work while keeping human judgment in the loop.
• Track record of shipping production-safe software and infrastructure.
• Willingness to make decisions and build processes in an early-stage environment.
• Experience in healthcare, health tech, or environments with sensitive data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS environment: architect, administer, and evolve cloud infrastructure with reliability, security, and performance.
• Define and maintain infrastructure as code so environments are repeatable and reviewable.
• Use AI-native tools to move faster while preserving safe engineering fundamentals.
• Help define responsible AI autonomy with guardrails and assurances.
• Make real technical calls on architecture and tooling in a small team.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and leaders on systems handling sensitive healthcare data.
