Job summary

Elevance Health seeks a Principal Cloud Engineer—AI/ML to lead hands-on design and delivery of cloud-enabled AI capabilities. You will work across landing zones, CaaS, FinOps, and developer onboarding to accelerate transformation.

You'll partner with Enterprise AI, Security, and EA, delivering production-grade agents, MCP servers, and automated workflows while mentoring engineers and driving cost-efficient, reliable cloud operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Technology or Computer Science with 8+ years in architecture/design.
• Hands-on experience building production cloud platforms.
• Experience with major public clouds and landing zones.
• Strong skills in Python, Go, TypeScript or Java.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Deploy AI-enabled capabilities across cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop MCP servers and agents for cloud services.
• Lead architecture strategy and governance across domains.
• Mentor engineers and provide hands-on coding ownership.
• Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization.
