Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly experienced software engineer to support national security programs. You will analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications while integrating with cross-functional teams across systems and hardware engineering.

Responsibilities include debugging, optimizing data queries, contributing to system integration, and implementing scalable algorithms. You will help shape development processes and produce clear technical documentation for

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.
• 14+ years of software development/engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to support software design, define performance expectations, and assess technical feasibility.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, including enhancing existing systems with new features and capabilities.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software solutions with broader system architecture and constraints.
• Develop and optimize data queries and database interactions, ranging from simple retrievals to complex data processing logic.
• Contribute to system integration efforts across new or existing environments, ensuring compatibility and stability.
• Apply algorithmic thinking to meet functional and performance requirements, including implementing efficient and scalable solutions.
• Support testing efforts by developing and executing test procedures for software component
