Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer specialized in Cloud & DevSecOps to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will analyze requirements, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions across environments.

The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, cloud security, and CI/CD pipeline automation, with opportunities for leadership of small efforts and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required; 4 years of additional software engineering experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to support software design, define performance expectations, and assess technical feasibility.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, including enhancing existing systems with new features and capabilities.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software solutions with broader system architecture.
• Develop and optimize data queries and database interactions.
• Contribute to system integration efforts across environments, ensuring compatibility and stability.
• Apply algorithmic thinking to meet functional and performance requirements.
• Support testing efforts by developing and executing test procedures for software components.
