Job summary

STR’s Systems Development Division (SDD) is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to implement and sustain CI/CD pipelines for software integrating complex embedded RF systems, signal processing, and radar, with a focus on Air-to-Air applications. The role supports both unclassified and classified environments in alignment with DoD standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps pipelines, preferably on a DoD development effort.
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure in IL4/IL5/IL6 environments.
• Proficiency with build, continuous integration, and continuous deployment tools (Bazel, CMake, GCC, GitLab, Jenkins, GTest, GCov, clang-tools).
• Comfortable in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, WSL) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Swarm, Rancher).
• Familiarity with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Coverity, Syft, Grype, Anchore) and secure design practices.
• Familiarity with IT configuration/deployment tools (Ansible, Chef, Terraform) and monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
• Understanding of networking concepts and security protocols; ability to manage security in development environments.
• Strong scripting skills and ability to automate and document tooling; familiarity with Jira/Confluence and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DevSecOps pipelines across CI/CD lifecycle for embedded RF systems.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines in unclassified and classified DoD environments using diverse quality and security tools.
• Configure/manage multiple development environments at different classification levels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure infrastructure toolchains meet program requirements and DoD standards.
• Coach team members on DevSecOps best practices and automate processes.
• Identify improvements and implement enhancements across pipelines.
• Document pipeline architecture, tools, and processes for future updates.
• Promote DevOps/DevSecOps practices and support software teams with tooling, debugging, and testing.
