Job summary

STR’s Systems Development Division seeks a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to advance CI/CD pipelines for embedded RF systems, with a focus on Air-to-Air applications. You will work in a DoD-aligned environment, implementing DevSecOps practices, tools, and automation across Linux/Windows platforms and multiple cloud regions.

You will collaborate with software teams, ensure compliance with security requirements, and mentor peers to raise development efficiency while maintaining rigorous security

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Ability to obtain Top-Secret Security Clearance.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, preferably in DoD programs.
• Experience with AWS or Azure in IL4/IL5/IL6 environments.
• Proficiency with build, CI/CD tools (Bazel, CMake, GCC, GitLab, Jenkins, GTest, GCov, clang-tools).
• Comfortable in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, WSL, Podman; Kubernetes, Swarm, Rancher).
• Knowledge of security scanning tools (SonarQube, Coverity, Semgrep, Anchore).
• Familiarity with IT configuration/deployment tools (Ansible, Chef, Terraform).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
• Strong scripting for automation and workflows.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence; MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Implement DevSecOps pipelines across CI/CD lifecycles for embedded RF systems.
• Support DevSecOps pipelines in unclassified and classified environments with code quality tools.
• Configure and maintain multi-classification development environments improving productivity and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure tooling meets DoD requirements and standards.
• Coach team members on DevSecOps best practices and automate processes.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement enhancements.
• Document pipeline architecture, tools, and processes for maintenance.
• Advocate DevOps and DevSecOps across the software team.
