Job summary

STR’s Systems Development Division seeks a Senior Cloud Software Engineer to advance DevSecOps pipelines for embedded RF systems, radar, and Air-to-Air applications. You will implement and optimize CI/CD across classified environments, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable tooling and processes.

The role requires U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance, and a BS in CS/IT.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• BS in Computer Science or related field; DoD experience preferred.
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, ideally on a DoD development effort.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS/Azure) in IL4/IL5/IL6 environments.
• Proficient with build, CI/CD tools (Bazel, CMake, GCC, GitLab, Jenkins, GTest, GCov, clang-tools).
• Comfortable Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with containers (Docker, WSL, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Swarm, Rancher).
• Familiar with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Coverity, Syft, Grype, Artifactory Xray, Semgrep, Anchore).
• Familiar with IT config/deploy tools (Ansible, Chef, Terraform).
• Monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
• Networking basics and security for development environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Confluence/Jira and MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Perform DevSecOps pipeline implementation across full lifecycle
• Support pipelines in unclassified and classified environments
• Configure multiple environments at different classification levels
• Collaborate to ensure infrastructure toolsets are reliable and compliant
• Coach team on DevSecOps best practices
• Identify improvements and implement enhancements
• Document pipeline architecture, tools, and user processes
• Evangelize DevOps/DevSecOps and support tooling and testing
