Job summary

Venmo is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Business Continuity team to design, build, and operate the infrastructure ensuring resilience and rapid recovery from failures. You will lead by example, mentor others, and own critical disaster recovery processes.

You'll work across AWS, EKS, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes to improve uptime, run chaos experiments, and automate backups. This role combines cloud engineering, SRE practices, and hands-on coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years relevant experience in software development or related field.
• Experience in operating distributed applications 24x7x365.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting infrastructure on AWS or similar cloud provider.
