Job summary

Fieldpiece is seeking a Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer to build and operate AWS-hosted infrastructure powering our connected HVACR products and SaaS apps. You will automate deployments, improve reliability, and scale our digital ecosystem in partnership with software and IT teams.

The role offers on-site work in Orange, CA (with move to Tustin in 2028) or in Heber City, UT, with occasional on-call and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in senior DevOps/Cloud roles supporting enterprise cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and containerized environments.
• Experience with Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Experience with Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Strong Linux and Windows administration experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure and ECS-based environments for production and development systems.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automate provisioning and deployments.
• Monitor health, performance, availability, and security; troubleshoot production issues.
• Develop monitoring/logging/observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with software teams to improve deployment reliability.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, reliability, and cost.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive continuous improvement of production operations.
