Job summary

Doist is seeking a senior IT/DevOps engineer to drive cloud and platform engineering initiatives. You will bring 10+ years of IT experience with deep hands-on expertise in AWS, GCP, and designing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.

You will work on automation with Ansible and Python, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and support regulated environments (FedRAMP/NIST). This role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to work autonomously in Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

10+ years of overall IT experience with emphasis on DevOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or platform engineering.
Strong hands-on experience supporting and deploying workloads in AWS.
GCP knowledge including deployment and support of applications and cloud services.
Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD processes and tools in enterprise environments.
Automation and scripting using Ansible and Python.
Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting applications in cloud environments.
Experience supporting AI and ML platform deployments and configuration management focused on infrastructure, automation, and operations.
Understanding of infrastructure automation, configuration management, release engineering, and platform operations.
Experience with compliance-driven environments (FedRAMP, NIST-based or similar).
Knowledge of source control and DevOps toolchains (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
