Job summary

OpenGov is modernizing how governments operate with fast, resilient cloud infrastructure. As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will own the cloud systems, CI/CD pipelines, and security architecture for our multi-tenant SaaS platform serving thousands of public sector customers.

You will lead IaC and automation initiatives, optimize costs, and mentor engineers, shaping how government services are delivered through scalable infrastructure and AI-forward tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own OpenGov's multi-tenant cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS) at scale.
• Lead infrastructure-as-code strategy using Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi/Crossplane.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Drive cloud cost optimization and performance across AWS/Azure.
• Own cloud security posture and support SOC2/StateRamp compliance.
• Establish observability with Grafana/Prometheus; lead post-mortems.
• Advise engineering, product, and security teams on scalable infra decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise operational excellence.
