Job summary

Avalore is seeking a Cloud Design Engineer, Level 3, to design, develop and maintain large-scale cloud data systems. You will implement MapReduce analytics, build IR workflows, and guide multi-node cloud deployments using Hadoop and related technologies.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud computing, Java, distributed computing, and security clearances. Collaboration with teams to optimize performance and ensure documentation quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; 12+ years of software engineering preferred.
• Strong background in cloud computing and big data technologies.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem, MapReduce, and IR systems.
• Proficient in Java, RESTful services, and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of cloud-based data processing systems.
• Implement Cloud MapReduce analytics and IR workflows.
