Job summary

Avalore is seeking a Cloud Design Engineer, Level 2, to develop, maintain and enhance complex web-based UIs that interact with Big Data Cloud systems. The role covers design, implementation and testing of UI components for Hadoop-based infrastructure, with focus on usability, security and performance.

Candidates will bring extensive cloud and distributed computing experience, with TS/SCI clearance, and a track record in Java, RESTful services, and Big Data technologies.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cloud and distributed computing with Big Data technologies.
• Strong background in Java, RESTful web services and multi-tier web applications.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for privileged access.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and maintain web-based UI components for cloud data platforms.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure security and performance.
• Review code and contribute to software design and documentation.
• Provide input on hardware/software trade-offs and reuse opportunities.
• Oversee development tasks and ensure adherence to SDLC processes.
