Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field with 4 years DB admin experience.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL/MySQL on Linux or Oracle 19c on Linux.
• Experience with backup/recovery strategies (RMAN, pg_basebackup, etc.).
• Strong UNIX/Linux scripting and SQL scripting (PL/SQL, PG/SQL).
• Good communication and coordination with developers and QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of databases on AWS.
• Respond to alerts, diagnose root causes, resolve issues.
• Administer DBs on EC2 and RDS, apply patches.
• Perform backups, restores, and DR readiness activities.
• Collaborate with development teams during sprints and deployments.
