Job summary

The Hiring Method, LLC is seeking a Staff Cloud Database Engineer/Architect to join a mission-driven team supporting highly classified work at Wright-Patterson AFB area. This senior, hands-on role combines enterprise database engineering, cloud architecture, performance optimization, and strategic tech evaluation in a secure SCIF environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant database/cloud engineering experience or 6+ with a Master’s degree
• Active TS/SCI clearance required on Day 1
• Strong enterprise database engineering, administration, or architecture experience
• Experience with Oracle/OCI, AWS, Azure, or comparable platforms
• Experience with data security, backup, recovery, and availability

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimize scalable enterprise database and cloud infrastructure
• Support large-scale databases and define future architecture directions
• Evaluate Oracle/OCI, AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies
• Develop architectures for distributed data sources and classified environments
• Drive performance via query optimization and indexing strategies
• Implement data security, backup, recovery, resiliency, and availability
• Document architectures, configurations, and recommendations
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers on platform decisions
