Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• Security+ certification.
• Five or more years of DBA experience.
• Expert-level experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud-based database services (RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
• Experience with database migration tools and strategies.
• Strong knowledge of database security, access controls and encryption.
• Experience with DevOps, automation, and IaC.
• Experience with performance monitoring and data warehousing/big data.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain database systems across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Optimize database performance, architecture, structure, scalability, and capacity for cloud operations.
• Implement and maintain database security measures including access controls and encryption.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, utilization, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot database issues and implement corrective solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain HA, backups, recovery, and DR solutions.
• Support migrations, upgrades, and modernization activities.
• Apply DevOps practices to deployment, monitoring, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with customers, analysts, developers, testers, and end users.
