Job summary

Foley is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to own the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud-based data platforms. You will oversee SQL Server and Redshift in AWS, drive HA/DR, and partner with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Analytics to scale data solutions.

This remote US-based role operates on EST hours with occasional office visits. You will automate monitoring, leverage AI-enabled tooling, and advance data security across platforms while aligning with business

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing production database environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing, and HA/DR.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies, including Amazon Redshift.
• Experience managing database security, access controls, and permissions in regulated environments.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and curiosity, with automation or AI-enabled tools to improve reliability.
• Exposure to data engineering pipelines or analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration, monitoring, tuning, and optimization of SQL Server and Redshift environments.
• Design and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies meeting SLAs.
• Own and optimize our AWS-based data warehouse architecture for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Data and Analytics teams to support reporting and downstream AI use cases.
• Communicate database risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
